17,508 islands — and every one tells a story.
Bali at dawn, Borobudur at sunrise, Raja Ampat below the surface — the archipelago in between.
Not a Government Website
Every entry is issued electronically by Indonesian immigration — no embassy visit required.
How it works
Three steps between you and your entry.
Before you apply
Applying for your Bali travel authorisation
Bali's travel authorisation is issued by Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi (Directorate General of Immigration). govr.me is a private, independent service — we are not a government department. We check your documents, complete the official form and submit your application for you. You can also apply yourself, directly and for the government fee only, at the official portal authority website.
Passport
- Valid for at least 6 months from your application date.
- At least 1 blank page.
Photo
- Size: 35 × 45 mm
- Background: white
- Format: JPG, up to 2 MB
- min 600 × 800 px
- Within last 6 months
- Some local agents say red — the official portal accepts white
Documents you'll need
- Coloured passport bio-page scan
- Recent passport-style photo (white background)
- Confirmed return / onward flight ticket
- Hotel booking, Airbnb, or sponsor address
- For B211: Indonesian sponsor data (KTP/NPWP for individuals, NIB for companies)
- For the Golden investor permit: bank statements proving the investment threshold
How the application works
- Register account
- Select permit type & nationality
- Personal & passport details
- Sponsor / guarantor details (B211)
- Upload documents
- Sponsor confirmation (if B211)
- Pay
Payment: travel application; Mastercard; JCB; Likely some Indonesian local rails (BCA, Mandiri, GoPay). PDF downloadable from portal + emailed. e-VOA: minutes. B211: 3–10 working days.
Do
- Use canonical portals: the authority website for B211/Golden; molina.imigrasi.go.id for e-VOA.
- Choose the correct product — e-VOA at $35 is enough for a 30-day Bali holiday; B211 is overkill.
- Apply for B211 at least 10 working days before departure.
- Match data to passport MRZ exactly.
- Have your sponsor's KTP/NPWP/NIB ready before starting B211.
- Print the issued entry PDF — Imigrasi airport officers sometimes ask for paper.
Don't
- Don't pay third-party agents the 'B211A' rate when you only need the cheaper e-VOA.
- Don't apply with less than 6 months passport validity — automatic rejection.
- Don't list a fictitious sponsor — the portal verifies Indonesian ID numbers.
- Don't overstay — IDR 1,000,000/day fines plus possible multi-year bans.
- Don't conflate B211 with KITAS — KITAS is a separate residence permit.
- Don't try to work in Indonesia on a B211 — paid work requires a KITAS work permit.
Why applications are refused
Decisions rest entirely with Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi (Directorate General of Immigration). The most common reasons an application is turned down:
- Sponsor data invalid or sponsor-passport profile inconsistent (B211).
- Passport scan poor quality or with corners cut.
- Photo background not white (or other photo-spec mismatch).
- Passport with less than 6 months validity.
- Prior immigration violation in Indonesia (overstay, deportation, fraud).
Important for Bali
- ASEAN nationals (10 countries) get 30 days without an entry — no application.
- ~96 nationalities (most Western, GCC, India, China, Japan, Korea) can use e-VOA at $35.
