Ready when you are

The Bosphorus is waiting. Let's get your entry sorted.

How It Works

Three steps between you and your entry.

1

Complete the application

Passport details and travel dates. A few minutes — saved as you go.

2

Secure payment

Government fee plus our processing fee, itemised before you pay.

3

Receive by email

The moment the authorities issue it, we email it straight to you — print it or carry it on your phone.

Before you apply

Applying for your Turkey travel authorisation

Turkey's travel authorisation is issued by Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. govr.me is a private, independent service — we are not a government department. We check your documents, complete the official form and submit your application for you. You can also apply yourself, directly and for the government fee only, at the official portal authority website.

What it costs

Government fee$50Set by the authority — the same wherever you apply
Our service fee$116Document check, form completion, submission & support
You pay$166From — final price shown before payment

Prices in USD. Our fee pays for our help only; it does not buy a faster government decision. Applying directly at the official portal costs the government fee alone.

May not need one

UK passport holders no longer need an entry for stays up to 90 days (since 2 March 2024). EU/EEA, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Brazil and others are also exempt — entry stamp at border only.

Passport

  • Valid for at least 6 months from your application date.
  • At least 1 blank page.
  • Türkiye officially requires 60 days beyond stay, but airlines enforce the stricter 6-month rule.

Photo

No photo required for this destination.

Documents you'll need

  • Coloured passport bio-page scan
  • Valid email address (the entry is delivered as PDF)
  • payment card, Mastercard, or UnionPay card
  • Schengen / US / UK / Ireland entry or residence permit (only for nationalities on the conditional track)

How the application works

  1. Apply (country & document)
  2. Confirm (personal details)
  3. Make Payment

Payment: travel application; Mastercard; UnionPay. PDF emailed within minutes (rare manual review up to 24 hours).

Do

  • Use a passport with at least 6 months validity from arrival.
  • Double-check your passport number, surname, and given names against the MRZ.
  • Apply at least 48 hours before departure as a buffer.
  • Print a paper copy of the entry PDF AND keep a copy on your phone.
  • Use the official portal the authority website only — type the URL directly.
  • Carry the supporting Schengen/US/UK entry in your passport at the Turkish border.

Don't

  • Don't apply via lookalike sites that copy the official portal — they charge $80–120 in service fees.
  • Don't enter dates in the wrong format — the portal expects DD/MM/YYYY.
  • Don't list the wrong port of entry — mismatches sometimes prompt secondary screening.
  • Don't overstay — Turkish overstays trigger automatic re-entry bans (1 month – 5 years).
  • Don't submit two applications for the same passport — payments may be charged twice.
  • Don't plan to work, study, or stay >90 days — the entry is strictly tourism/short business.

Why applications are refused

Decisions rest entirely with Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The most common reasons an application is turned down:

  • Passport scan or document number doesn't match an MRZ check (typo).
  • Supporting Schengen/US/UK entry is expired or has been used up.
  • Nationality is on the embassy-only list and applicant bypassed it.
  • Payment failure or chargeback flagged the application.
  • Previous Türkiye overstay or deportation on record.
