How it works
Choose your country, enter your passport details and travel dates. A few minutes — saved as you go.
Government fee plus our processing fee, itemised in full before you pay. Nothing hidden.
The moment it's issued we email your entry straight to you — print it or carry it on your phone.
Before you apply
Applying for your Azerbaijan travel authorisation
Azerbaijan's travel authorisation is issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (operated through ASAN Service). govr.me is a private, independent service — we are not a government department. We check your documents, complete the official form and submit your application for you. You can also apply yourself, directly and for the government fee only, at the official portal authority website.
What it costs
Prices in USD. Our fee pays for our help only; it does not buy a faster government decision. Applying directly at the official portal costs the government fee alone.
Passport
- Valid for at least 3 months from your application date.
- At least 1 blank page.
- Azerbaijan only requires 3 months validity beyond stay — unusually lenient.
Photo
- Size: 35 × 45 mm
- Background: white / or / light
- Format: JPEG, up to 5 MB
- ~600 × 800 px
- Within last 6 months
- No tinted glasses
Documents you'll need
- Coloured passport bio-page scan (max 5 MB)
- Digital passport-style photo
- No supporting documents required — no hotel booking, return ticket, or bank statement upload.
How the application works
- Application info (Standard or Urgent)
- Personal details + passport + photo
- Review & Pay
Payment: travel application; Mastercard; Maestro; Million Card / BirKart (local). PDF emailed with QR code; downloadable via Application ID + DOB + passport number. Standard: 3 working days. Urgent: 3 hours (business hours only).
Do
- Apply via the official the authority website — many fake lookalike sites exist.
- Choose Standard if you have ≥3 working days; Urgent only if same-day departure.
- Make sure passport is valid for at least 3 months beyond stay — strictly enforced.
- Print the entry PDF; airlines and Azerbaijani border guards both ask for the QR code.
- Apply with separate applications for each traveller, including children.
- Retain the Application ID + email confirmation — that's how you re-download the PDF.
Don't
- Don't apply if you have an Armenian entry or recent travel to occupied Karabakh — auto-rejection plus 5-year ban risk.
- Don't use the permit for paid work or journalism — strictly 30-day single-entry tourism.
- Don't book the Urgent tier on weekends/public holidays — '3 hours' only counts during ASAN business hours.
- Don't apply more than 90 days before travel — validity counts from grant.
- Don't overstay — 25 AZN/day fine plus ban risk.
- Don't ignore the QR code on the printed PDF — border officers scan it.
Why applications are refused
Decisions rest entirely with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (operated through ASAN Service). The most common reasons an application is turned down:
- Passport image illegible / glare / cropped — the OCR fails.
- Passport validity less than 3 months beyond intended stay.
- Armenian travel history or Armenian birthplace in passport.
- Wrong nationality selected — dual passport-holder picking the wrong one mid-form.
- Photo non-compliant — coloured background, sunglasses, or face partially obscured.
Important for Azerbaijan
- Turkish, Russian, Belarusian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz citizens need no entry.
- Armenian citizens and people of Armenian origin generally are not granted entry.
