$50 official permit fee + $150 service fee per traveller. Chinese passports: $185 ($35 + $150). Any government bank charge is covered by our service fee.
Single entry. Enter Laos within 60 days of approval; the 30-day stay starts when you enter.
Counted from when your application is complete and paid. Weekends, public holidays and extra checks can add time. Approval and timing are decided by the Lao authorities.
This entry is accepted only at the following entry points. Check your route before you pay; it does not work at every border crossing.
Wattay International Airport · Luang Prabang International Airport · Pakse International Airport · Lao–Thai Friendship Bridges I, II and IV · Boten International Checkpoint · Boten Railway Station · Khamsavath Railway Station
Taiwan passport holders cannot select Boten Railway Station in the official application. Indian and Nepalese travellers should also prepare proof of funds, itinerary, accommodation and return or onward travel for arrival checks.
Some ordinary passports can already visit without an entry, including Japan and many ASEAN countries. We do not sell this 30-day permit to passports with a full 30-day exemption. Myanmar, Luxembourg and Switzerland have shorter exemptions and need a manual trip-length review; online purchase is not offered for these passports here.
No. The online product offered here is the tourist entry (T-B3), for one entry and up to 30 days. Business, work, study and longer-stay permissions need a different route; they are not sold on this page.
We offer Standard only. The official service does not provide an urgent decision guarantee. Leave enough time before travel and wait for approval before relying on the permit.
Yes. You can apply through the official Lao online entry service without using govr.me. Our separate $150 fee covers our application-assistance service and does not guarantee a permit or admission.
The official Lao online entry service treats its fee as non-refundable, even if the application is refused. Read our service terms and refund policy before payment. Only the Lao authorities can decide the application or admission.

Three steps between you and your Entry.
Before you apply
Laos's travel authorisation is issued by Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs. govr.me is a private, independent service — we are not a government department. We check your documents, complete the official form and submit your application for you. You can also apply yourself, directly and for the government fee only, at the official portal authority website.
What it costs
Prices in USD. Our fee pays for our help only; it does not buy a faster government decision. Applying directly at the official portal costs the government fee alone.
Payment: Online card payment. The approval letter is issued electronically. Processing is usually 3 working days after a complete paid application; it can take longer.
Decisions rest entirely with Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The most common reasons an application is turned down:
govr.me is an independent travel-document assistance service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government, embassy or consulate. Requirements and fees are set by Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs and can change — always confirm the current rules on the official portal (authority website) before you travel. Powered by IRCC FZCO.
