How it works
Three steps between you and your Entry.
Before you apply
Applying for your Saudi Arabia travel authorisation
Saudi Arabia's travel authorisation is issued by Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (online front-end by Saudi Tourism Authority). govr.me is a private, independent service — we are not a government department. We check your documents, complete the official form and submit your application for you. You can also apply yourself, directly and for the government fee only, at the official portal authority website.
What it costs
Prices in USD. Our fee pays for our help only; it does not buy a faster government decision. Applying directly at the official portal costs the government fee alone.

Do
- Use the official portal at the authority website — third-party agents are unnecessary.
- Check your nationality against the official eligible list before paying.
- Keep your entry PDF on phone and printed at the port of entry.
- Ensure your passport has 6+ months validity beyond your trip end-date.
- Declare your stay address (hotel or relative) accurately — random verification is common.
- Complete Umrah applications via nusuk.sa, not via tourist channels.
Don't
- Don't attempt to perform Hajj on a tourist entry — Hajj requires a separate permit via official quota.
- Don't overstay; fines reach 100 SAR/day with re-entry bans up to 3 years.
- Don't enter Mecca or Medina if your nationality is not eligible.
- Don't bring alcohol, pork products, or non-Islamic religious items.
- Don't photograph government buildings, military installations, or local women.
- Don't attempt to work or seek paid employment — strictly prohibited on a tourist permit.
Why applications are refused
Decisions rest entirely with Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (online front-end by Saudi Tourism Authority). The most common reasons an application is turned down:
- Nationality not on the eligible list for the online permit (~57 nationalities).
- Passport validity below 6 months on arrival date.
- Previous Saudi entry violation (overstay, deportation history).
- Photograph fails automated face-detection (sunglasses, hat, low resolution).
- Payment failure — some non-Saudi cards are intermittently declined.
Important for Saudi Arabia
- Mandatory medical insurance is bundled into the permit fee (~235 SAR on top of the 300 SAR entry fee).
- Mahram rule waived — women 18+ may travel for Umrah without a male guardian.
